Belarus plans to develop customs cooperation with EU more actively under the Eastern Partnership programme

Belarus is interested in more active development of customs cooperation with EU within the limits of the programme " Eastern Partnership ", including in sphere of modernisation of a customs infrastructure. The chief of legal department of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Alexander Aderejko today has informed on it to journalists, correspondent БЕЛТА transfers.

"We have prepared and have directed to the European Union more than five projects within the limits of the initiative" East partnership. But as there financial assets and streams for the present are not distributed, priorities in all projects are not defined, it is prospect business, - Alexander Aderejko has noted. - We hold all it on the control, actively we co-operate and we think, that positive results in this direction will be ".

In turn the head of department of development of a customs infrastructure of the State Customs Committee Ivan Pashkevich has informed during a meeting with customs experts of Eurocommission, that for today Belarus co-operates with the European Union under two programs - the Tacis Programme and the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument. As he said, within the limits of the tacis programmme the European Union, including, has given to Belarus of EURO 14 million on building of frontier cargo terminal "Kozlovochi-2" and EURO 2 million on it technique.

Besides, for today Belarus declares 4 large-scale projects on introduction of the scanning equipment for examination of supersize transport. The general budget of the programmmes makes EURO 17,5 million. Such equipment is planned to establish in check points "Grigirovshina", "Privalki", "Brusgi" and "Peschaka".
