IMF mission concerning prospects of cooperation with Belarus begins work in Minsk

On May, 12th, Minsk of/correspondent BELTA/. Mission of IMF concerning prospects of cooperation of fund with Belarus begins today work in Minsk. On it have informed correspondent БЕЛТА in IMF office in Belarus.

The mission of IMF will be in Minsk on May, 25th.

It is expected, that during negotiations with the authorities questions of social and economic development of Belarus, monetary and credit and a tax policy will be mentioned. Also prospects and forms of the further cooperation with the International currency fund will be discussed.

Let's remind, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in interview to news agency REUTERS has told, that Belarus will continue the cooperation with IMF.

According to National bank of Belarus, the come to the end "stend-bay" programme, concluded between Belarus and IMF in January, 2009, has played one of key roles stabilisation of economy of Belarus in 2009 and the beginning of 2010. This Programme has allowed to support stability in the currency market, to provide the big stability of a financial system, to support confidence of investors and house economy.

The total amount given by IMF of Belarus of financial resources within the limits of the named program has made about $3,5 billion
